Tutorial keyring pendant

This is a nice pendant for keys, phones, bags or what you like.

You can make several ones to match your bags or your outfit, or for different keys to differ from each other. And you can hold it around your wrist.

You need:

Fabric strip, 26-30 x 8 cm
Matching or contrasting thread
Key ring 25 – 30 mm diameter

- Fold and press your fabric strip lengthwise in half, open and fold and press each side to the middle
(like for bag handles)

Take the short ends, right sides together (the fabric lays like a “W”), stitch and backstitch at the beginning and at the end.

Clip the corners. Turn stripends right side out and work the corners out.

Now stitch both long sides close to border, backstitch beginning and end.

Put your keyring in the strip, closestitch both stripends together, backstitch beginning and end. Put the keyring to the end and stitch short behing it, to secure in place. If your machine have the function to stitch a button, you can use this.

You´re finished, enjoy!

Aber ich habe jetzt drei gefunden, die ich nicht verpassen möchte:

Redwork Swap

Ich habe gestern meine Redwork-Blöcke vom swap hier erhalten. Wunderschöne Arbeiten!

Ich bin neugierig auf die Ergebnisse.
Aber wie ich mich kenne, kann das noch ein Weilchen auf sich warten lassen...

Jedenfalls habe ich schon mehrere Motive in rot gestickt, die alle in diesen Quilt einfliesen können. Das ist ein Projekt für nächstes Jahr, nach Weihnachten und einem Babyquilt für Frühjahr (nicht für mich:-))

Now I´m curious of the results of this project.
But I know me - it could take long time until it´s finished... this is a work for next year, after the christmas projects and the babyquilt I have to realize for a friend until spring...

Ausstellung in Schildow

Wieder war an diesem vergangenen Wochenende die immer ersehnte Patchwork-Ausstellung mit Workshops in Schildow. Unter drei Stunden sollte frau sich auch nicht Zeit lassen.
Sehr schöne Anregungen und eine tolle Atmosphäre!

Ein Geburtstagsgeschenk...

...für meine Freundin habe ich gemacht und heute übergeben.
Ihre Tochter hatte kürzlich bei uns ein Bild gemalt, das habe ich dann als Vorlage nachgestickt, mit passendem Patchworkstoff als Rahmen umgenäht und einen passenden Hänger besorgt.
Es ist sehr schön geworden und eine tolle Erinnerung!

I made a birthday gift for a friend. Her daughter created a nice picture, I took it as a pattern and embroidered it, a matching fabric as frame and a patchwork hanger, that´s all!
It is a very nice memory!

Da ich immer auf der Suche nach der "einzig wahren und passenden Block der alles übertrifft"-Anleitung bin, habe ich zufällig auch hier Halt gemacht:

Taufe

Morgen werde ich zum dritten Mal Taufpatin.
Und hier meine Gaben:
Ich habe für mein Patenkind 2 Kleinkindschürzen genäht.
Und ich habe für den Anlaß meine erste AMC gemacht:
Für die Taufkarte habe ich mir ein Motiv ausgesucht (Bild aus dem Internet), es nach Redwork-Art gestickt (der Stoff ist der gleiche wie von der einen Schürze) und mit einem Stoffrahmen versehen. Dann mit dünnem doppelseitig-klebendem Vlies auf ein Fotokarton geklebt und mit Zick-Zack umgenäht. Fertig. Sie ist auf jeden Fall einzigartig!
Auf der Rückseite hatte ich genug Platz für einen Taufspruch - passend zum Schutzengel auf der Vorderseite.
Ich hoffe, das Geschenk kommt gut bei den Eltern an.

Tomorrow I have a baptism. For the boy I sewed two kiddy-aprons.
And I made my first AMC card. I took a picture from the internet and stitched it like redwork on the same fabric as one of the aprons. Then I sewed a fabric frame around it.
With a fusible interfacing I fused it to a paperboard and zigzaged it around.
On the back side there is enough place to write something special.
I hope the parents like it!
